A short chase under less than ideal conditions send us north of Peoria on an isolated cluster of storms attached to the warm front ahead of a line of low topped severe storms. We wait out, and spent a few hours near Princeton Illinois before abandon the chase and head back to town.

Some hail up to 1in was found and a wall cloud was observed.
After coming back to Marengo we are slammed again by a line of scattered severe storms which target the town head on. Large hail up to 1in was observed and reported.

Erik cant hold out and persues couplets of rotation in a line of storms moving southeast out of southern wisconsin. One particular couplet holds our just west of woodstock and he captures video of it.
A wall cloud is apparent but no funnel is noted. The cell never becomes warned but still something to keep an eye on. There is a change in wind direction close to the circulation as it passes just north of the vehicle.

June 30 2014
A hightened risk of tornadoes develops over northern illinois into the overnight hours on June 29-June 30. A Tornado watch is issued for supercells with tornado potential in a line, the only storm to develop a tornado warning is over Marengo heading east across McHenry County. Erik sets up ahead of the rotation practically involving himself in it as it slowly moves east. Rich takes chase after the cell but due to high rain and low visibility gets close to the backside of the storm.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms cross northern illinois in the early afternoon of aug 25. Erik heads out east to Union IL in hopes to capture a brief timelapse of the shelf and "whales mouth" that this group of cells were producing. We observe no warnings or damage at our location but areas to the south are given a watch for some severe storms. This particular shelf gusted out before the end of the county.
