The group heads out south to Mendota IL hoping to intercept a developing line of cells leaving a Severe Watch in central IL... but a line of storms fired way off to the east side of IL. We head back south of the Chi into Indiana where construction and traffic ends this chase early.

A Tornado Watch is issued for most of nw illinois as a line of tornado warned cells develop. Rich and Liz head out to Stephenson County ahead of a Tornado Warned cell. No warning is seen though several areas of rotation didnt seem out of the question.

With storms failing to form, Rich and Erik head off in a last ditch attempt at some developing in Boone county however the cell never really formed.

A high risk of severe storms hits Wisconsin. We head out with the van full and end up almost empty handed with lack of storms and poor internet the best was only when we got back to marengo when lightning struck downtown about a block from us.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is issued for a slow moving line of storms coming south out of wisconsin. Several warnings are issued including this one in McHenry County. Small hail is the only thing that occurs with this event

Erik, Rich head to Rock Co Wisconsin ahead of a severe thunderstorm that is rapidly forming. However the group is caught off guard when a confirmed tornado occurs moving the cell into mchenry county.
