A last second chase sends Dave and Rich to the front of this history making tornado in Harvard, IL. This storm was the first storm since the 1950s to produce a tornado this early in the year. They land one of the only videos of this thing crossing hwy 14, where it damaged a building and flipped a semi.

Erik and Rich head out to Belvidere in prep for a line of storms moving in. A Tornado Watch is issued across most of Wisconsin but the line never really develops till it hits Indiana and Michigan.

A couple of storms moving up from west central illinois become severe warned but die out as they approach north east illinois. Erik sits out of Union and watches the cells move on.

Rich heads out late in the evening and intercepts a Tornado Warned cell in Jo Davies County in NW IL. A lack of good roads gets this chase short cut as the line moves across the state.

Erik and Rich dont have to drive far as a severe thunderstorm impacts Marengo. The two are out to breakfast when this storm drops some high winds knocking out power and trees in town.

Last second chase Erik and Karl leave the Rockford area and head to Morris after a tornado warned cell in La Salle Co. However the storm weakens and a new t storm warning goes up for us in Grundy Co. Had some good lightning on the southern end of the storms core we dont really get much of anything.

Erik and Karl get set up perfectly for an isolated tornadic cell in north central Illinois. While nothing more than a few downed trees is found, a tornado warning is up for boone county into nw mchenry and into parts of southeast wisconsin.

So, after spending most of the afternoon chasing storms in Wisconsin Erik finally lands this dark green monster shelf near Portage, Wisconsin.

A couplet forms along a line of strong storms dropping a ef-1 tornado in boone co. at 12:30am. Erik persues the storms from rockford east and Rich begins chase leaving north from Marengo. Given the late night event no photos are available but videos were taken showing the lightning.

A large bow echo moving east across northern Illinois gives Erik, Rich and Dave a chance at being able to watch this monster. The apex of the bow however becomes Tornado Warned, this is the same cell that hit Chicago on that very night.
