SUPERCELL WITH FUNNEL CLOUD

WALWORTH CO WI

After a later afternoon start, we intercept the very potent tornado supercell that has spawned a list of tornadoes across southern Wisconsin. We run into the storm along I-43 as it runs through Walworth Co in southeast Wisconsin. Large hail was reported by the storm outside of East Troy, as relayed by other spotters around the storm. The last bit of energy of this storm can be seen in the video below we caught as we approached the backend of the storm. A funnel cloud originally reported by another spotter first is noticed on the base of the storm then dissapates minutes later. The storm picked up speed following this encounter and fell apart.
